Bright Colors on a Dreary Day

Yesterday was dark and bleak as I went out for my morning walk. It was quite a contrast from the sun and heat of the beginning of the weak. Suddenly, my eyes were assaulted with brilliant flowery colors. I took just one photo that represents what I saw.

Ah, those roses certainly brightened an otherwise dreary day. Enjoy!

The Not Quite So Perfect Flower

On February 2 of last year I posted about The Perfect Flower. I talked about the flowers that bloomed outside my office window at the beginning of February and included a photo.

This year the flowers actually appeared the last week of January. And while I offer up the following photo, the best of the blooms does not seem to be quite as "perfect" as last year's although it still brightened my day.

Enjoy!

Spring Has Sprung. . .

What a magnificent morning. Bright, warm sunshine greeted me for my morning walk through the neighborhood. All I could think of were the two lines I remember from an old jungle:

"Spring has sprung.

The flowers has ris…"

Fortunately, I had my camera with me. As I snapped pictures, I thought that maybe I could cheer up my blogging friend Eric Valentine who was bemoaning the length and severity of winter in his Ontario environs. I also thought once again about how lucky I am to be living in southern California at this time of year.

So below I offer perhaps too many pictures from this mornings walk. After the first one of 2 grapefruit resting on a wall, the rest are all floral and require no editorial comments.

Enjoy!
